Declaration of Compliance
HiWave have an active program to ensure compliance of our standard products with hazardous substance legislation, including European REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances).
HiWave’s products are Articles as defined by REACH and do not release substances intentionally; nor are they placed on the market as end products. Nevertheless we understand our customers’ need to ensure compliant end products, and their requirements to collate compliance data from their suppliers. Therefore in order to ensure our products do not include any substances of very high concern (SVHCs) in concentrations greater than 0.1%, we request and collate REACH compliance information from our own upstream suppliers.
Any REACH compliance information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge, based on data provided by 3rd parties which includes our suppliers, their raw material suppliers and independent test laboratories. REACH data is passed on in good faith, without liability or warranty. HiWave makes best endeavours to ensure compliance, but in general we do not routinely test for REACH SVHCs ourselves. Ultimately it is the responsibility of the organisation placing the end product onto the market to ensure compliance.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, this declaration does not apply to customised products, where the customer has requested and approved specific constituent parts to be incorporated into our products.
It is not possible to test every single product, and in the case of a discovered non-compliance to our published specification, HiWave will at its discretion, replace or refund the cost of the affected parts, provided our normal RMA process is followed. Under no circumstances will HiWave accept responsibility for consequential or 3rd-party losses. Please see our Terms and Conditions of sale for full details.
